I have started getting photos printed on canvas for display at a local gallery and I have noticed several of the wraps becoming loose - so much so that it is distracting. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know a "cure"?
Contact the business where you got them made. Hopefully they'll make it right.
I would like to know what company made them. I'd hate to have that happen.
Sometimes, you get what ya pay for.

I was a picture framer for years and if the canvas is cotton you could spray lightly some water on the back side to shrink the canvas. Most canvas are stretched on "stretcher bars" which are adjustable. Look to see if the stretcher frame has "slots" at the corners, if so you could put "wedges" in the slots and tap them into the slots. This would enlarge the frame tightening the canvas. Good luck.

I believe the company was Fabness, but I have not contacted them to see if they would replace them or not.

I have a couple of canvases from Canvas on Demand. They loosened up, and a light spray of water on the back tightened them right back up.

Thanks Bob - I had heard of people trying that , but never with photos only paintings. I will give it a shot !
Hi all.
I print canvas for a living. picturepicasso.com
most canvases will loosen especially the larger ones. usually when the weather changes from summer into the winter months the stretcher bars shrink slightly causing the canvas to sag. if your patient this will all be corrected come spring & summer. However using a slight misting of water on the back is a sure cure, but dont over do it. Also placement of the canvas is just as important. keep them away from blowing heat or air conditioning vents, as this will cause the sagging as well.
thanks,
Rich
Thanks for the help - much appreciated
