Small bird photos with the Canon 7D Mk2

Today was a good sunny day for shooting birds or anything else. All were shot at 600mm and hand held.
Canon 7D Mk2 - Tamron 150-600mm - 1/320 - f/7.1 - ISO @ 800. Distance was 40-50 feet.

Awsome. These are all wonderful.
Nothing like a sunny day to help bring out the details.
Do you find F-8 or so to be the sweet spot on a bright
sunny day? I have been having some issues with that.
Many times they are to light and i have to darken them
up in Adobe RAW. I have tried several different f-stops
to try and chenge that without much success.

I appreciate your nice response, Carol. 50 years of photography experience and a 2 year degree in photography helps. But, anyone can be be a great photographer without the special education if your heart, desire and plenty of practice is there.

Thank you, Mark. f/8 is generally a good aperture for a sunny day shoot, but it depends on your subject matter. If the subject is a crow, then f/5.6 might be better to use or if it's a beach scene, use about a f/10 or more.

terrific set regis. i really love 1 and 4. #1 looks so chilly and #4 reminds me of a co worker who always has a stogie in his mouth. gary
