Do you have it set for 'Art Dego'?
(I have no idea why it is doing that.)

I would suggest you try setting it to the factory settings and see what happens. You should have it in your manual or in the menu on your camera somewhere!
Hope it is resolved soon!!

I have no idea but it has kind of an 'artsy' feel to it and I think it is pretty. (not that you would want all of your pics to turn out like this) :-)

I'm not sure but it looks similar to an issue I had with a Fuji S2 Pro. It turned out to be a failed sensor. Hope that's not your problem.

had a friend that dropped the camera in a puddle and came up with this result. Is it under warranty?

All the guessing in the world may or MAY NOT solve this problem. My suggestion is simply this. When in doubt, get it to a trusted repairman double time. They should be an expert at this with no second guessing. I am retired band director, know how to replace pads on a Clarinet, Oboe, Flute and any of the other woodwinds as that was my specialty. (I have played the Clarinet for around 70 years, even to the stage of playing many years professionally.) I do not mess too much with the brass instruments for the same reason. I am not a camera repairman so I am not going to guess except to repeat my first statement - - GET it to a known and reliable repairman who knows what they are doing and you can feel safe that the problem will be solved. Good luck in your search! Bob Curtis

Question posted earlier, is this a lone incident or does it happen all the time. Have you changed lenses?

Was the image like this while it was on the card or did you discover the problem after it was downloaded to the PC, assuming you use a PC?

Double check the issue using a different memory card.
If it shows up on the camera display screen problem is for sure in the camera so look no further.

Next double check your card reader.

But, a friend of mine had this problem happening seemingly at random. It turned out to be one of the drivers in the PC were causing the problem when files were opened and saved or moved. So you may have to do a little more detective work before sending the camera away for service.

It may finally turn out to be the camera and beyond changing the card and checking connections you will have to have it looked at by a shop someplace.
