Nice study in contrasts. There's a wind farm practically in my backyard. Noisy, dreadful strobing effects when the sun is wrong, and rises above the treeline like a monster from 'War of the Worlds.'
Still, they're kinda cool...
Thanks a lot for your feedback Greg, They are like an army in waiting I agree, thanks again, its much appreciated,

A great powerful image Geoff, love the darkness, lighting and composition, very well done. Makes me think of a modern day army of ents ready to protect their environment
Thanks very much Steve, and I appreciate the thumbs,

Great photo! I love the dramatic effect of the lighting on the wind generators and the dark sky. Nice! It would be a keeper.
Thanks a lot Tp, I have to admit, I'm not too keen on them where they intrude on beautiful landscapes or interfere with lives, but these are in the middle of nowhere and strangely enough offer some relief from the acres of flat marshland.

Thanks Mike, These are a bout 40 mile from me, but I think we will have about six in the near future about a mile away, so that should be fun,

Nice photo, GRW, but it seems to be a shame to dedicate so much arable land to these things and solar panel farms, on your side of the pond and ours, to get just a little more electrical power that when all the counting is done, including the subsidies to build them, costs more for the power than from more traditional generating. They will probably get more efficient, but when?
