That's an oldie. I remember seeing them on the road.

For pictures of other Nashes, click on the link. There is a beautiful red version of the above rust bucket about 3/4 of the way down.

My brother had one of those. Looks like about a '57-58 model year. It was always giving him problems. I bought a '58 short version and it was crap. I sure wish I had my old 1953 Mercury. Old cars are cool. Thats when you could tell the models from one another.
I cliked the link and my brother had the Rambler metropolitan model. It looked cool but didnt last long. He outgrew it..lol
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I had some great old cars.
Thanks for sharing!

Caution Mothers, the seats form a bed. In 60 seconds your daughter could be on a bed.

A friend thought about buying one of those once--then he thought again.

Nice shot, by the way.

My Dad bought the first one in Rhode Island, a 1950 I believe. What a great car until I banged it up. Teenage driver!!! We traveled to Montreal with it. Everyone was asking questions about it when we were stopped.

No the Metropolitan was a 2 seater I believe . It was Nash's two tone sports car.

My first car was a Metropolitan. I think it was a 1959. My parents bought it new and my dad used it for work. Christmas 1962 they gave it to me. I had more fun in that car. It was a 2 seater but one time I had 5 girlfriends plus me driving in it. I used to roller skate and one night when I went out to get in my car to go home my car was gone. My boyfriend and a few of his friends thought it would be funny to pick it up and move it to the back of the parking lot. Another time when I was going home from work the horn started blowing and it wouldn't stop. I drove home with the horn blaring. When I got home my daddy wasn't home so I had to get the man across the street to come help. He pulled a wire and that was the end of that.
I could put $2.00 of gas and run for 2 weeks.
