If I had a dollar for every jumping spider.... Baby Phidippus mystaceus eating wingless fruit flies. Don Cadle sent me the adult female several months ago to photograph for his website. She had already laid her egg sack so I had to wait about 4 weeks before the eggs hatched and the babies left the egg sack. At that time, I removed the mother, and begin feeding these fruit flies to the spiderlings. They make an excellent, fresh live food source. Guess you guys will now have to suffer through as I document these spiderlings to adulthood.
P.S. need to find my reverse ring mount and use the 35mm on tubes or mount /step down rings/on the 100mm to get larger photos.
I like the first one the best
All are interesting. I wish I could enlarge.

Hey Douglass, reason I'm breaking out the other lens. These are 2:1 and still heavily cropped with 24 MP. Only about 2.5 MP left after the crop. Itty Bitty Babies.

I figured as much. Still looking forward to you posting higher resolution photos.
This situation is why I am converting my Nikkor 135-mm f/2.8 to an auto-aperture extension tube for reverse-mounting.
Martin, I like all of these and especially number 1. Looks like you are having fun. Looking forward to seeing how they grow.
Really nice series.
I think I like #2 the best. It really shows how small the spider is compared to the fruit fly.
What a big dinner for such a small fellow.
Nicely shot.
