Generally the USB3 post connections are colored blue in my experience. Also next to the port the USB symbol may has SS (super speed) pressed on.
You can also go into the device manager but not as straight forward. Doesn't show which one only how many of which you have. In device manager you'll see High Speed - USB2 and Super Speed - USB3.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I do know that I have 1 USB3 and 2 USB 2's but don't know which ones are toast, and what the good one is.
