Winter Birds

Well, winter finally came to the coast of North Carolina. Sleet, freezing rain, changing back to sleet again. Temperatures are falling, and it will be an icy mess out there tomorrow. Set up the camera on a tripod in the garage and took these shots of my feathered friends chowing down on my paultry offerings to them. Saw a painted bunting this morning, but he disappeared before I could get a shot. Taken with Sony A200, Minolta 75-300 beercan lens with 2X extender. Boy that garage was cold!

Glad you enjoyed them. I had a ball taking the shots, and was hoping the painted bunting would make another appearance. The frozen fingers were almost worth it.
