I work on the ferries in southeastern NC, so I'm out on the water a lot. I also spend a good bit of time fishing . I try to get the interesting shots but all I can carry with me is a little Kodak point and shoot that I keep in my pants pocket. I manage to get lucky occasionally but it's due more to my location than any skill that I may boast. This site is new to me (obviously, as I'm introducing myself) , so I'm not sure that I'm doing this right. I'll just have to trust to luck and see.

Welcome to the forum. You've done the intro perfectly (you included some of your work) and half of creating good photographs is having a good eye. You're doing excellent in that respect. Even when I'm carrying my dslr, I have a point-n-shoot in my pocket. You just never know when somethings going to jump up in front of you and demand a picture be taken :)
