I have a Panasonic with GPS and it has the same problem. I'll take a look at how today's images came out on the map.
Hmm. Seem to not have gotten the GPS data on these images. Back to the drawing board.

Me too. Sometimes I am thinking upgrading my d5100 to d5300 or maybe d7100, but I can't explain to myself-why upgrade ? IQ in d5100 is VERY good.
My first DSLR my good wife got me for Xmas in 2010 was a D3100. Cut my teeth with it until last year -about 4 years. Considering an upgrade I figured if I was staying with the crop sensor format it would be nice to have a built in AF motor and AF fine tune capabilities which the D7100 has besides all the other upgrades. While looking for a macro lens I stumbled upon the Sigma 70mm known for being tack sharp. No AF motor but hey my camera body does! Bought the 70mm -great lens albeit a bit short of a working distance. Now I can look at any older AF model and know I'll have AF. Just a thought. Bob

I have the 5200 , I have used the articulated screen once, while shooting a bee on a flower. Instead of buying a new camera for the wife, take a magic marker and put grid lines on the LCD maybe she will be happy with that. ( kidding of course) My wife now wants to get into photography, so she will be getting the 5200 , I was going to get a 7100 now Im thinking maybe a 610
Great read on all the above comments. My D5300 just was delivered today. Have been shooting Canon for the last 7 years or so, so it may be an interesting learning curve. I may be asking ya'lls advice frequently.
