This is the first time I have posted so if I don't do this correctly please let me know.
I caught this ice on my small maple tree right before it started to melt. I like it but it seems dark or something. Can you help with some suggestions?

Great capture....I love playing with shots like this in pp. I would probably increase the contrast a bit, play with the mid tones....have fun. Great start.

really cool photo (pun intended) I can even see the shape of a bird! But then I've been messing around with my meds! lol

Thanks... I am so new to this photography stuff and messing with them in PP please feel free to show me any suggestions you may have!

Love it....you seperated the background from the subject.....just lighten a bit......how do you like it?

Try adding highlights just a bit until you see more contrast.

try overexposing shots like that by at least 1 stop and NO this is not a good candidate for HDR.

Wow Marc... the second one sure makes the lines in the ice show up much better, and the colors in both of yours are much more vibrant. What fun to see the edits! thanks for sharing
