Mt. Rainier, yeah, again...
I took this about 5 this afternoon a half hour before sunset. This is the entry/exit into a humongous development called Tahaleh. This is what you see exiting on a clear day. The pic is for my agent GF who has a buyer in Hawaii.
I took about 90 bracketed (all 0,+2, -2) shots with different zooms, etc., while waiting for the "cotton candy" sunset color. I only processed a couple so she could get one sent off. This is the one I gave her for her client so I thought I would put it up here for the halibut. I was giving it a closer look and realized I'd caught something. I put a green circle on the original. Zoom in on the downloads...
really nice, giant mountain for sleding....
Thanks for looking. Did you zoom on the green circle?
The lighting makes all the difference. Yes, looks like an avalanche.

I never get sick of pictures of Rainier. In 2011 we took a trip out west on our motorcycle with the primary purpose of riding The Going to the Sun Road and Glacier. From there we routed ourselves over to Rainier. To this day it is simply the single most beautiful object I have seen. One day we will return. Our views were primarily from Sunrise on the east side.
Great pics and capture of a snowboarder or was it an avalance.
Willie
Trust me, there are no snowboarders up there. Most of the climbing is done on the other side. That was an avalanche...
I'm going to go to Sunrise this summer to do some Milky Way shots. Can't wait.

Your HDR is a huge improvement over the original. IMHO it showcases the late afternoon sunlight much better.

Thanks, Walt. That's what I'm trying to accomplish.
