Apologize to the Purists

This is an apology to the purists in the club for this one, but I just couldn't throw it away. Post processing is enjoyable to me, and this shot begged me to intervene, having enjoyed the moment so much. I feel there are times when post works for me and this was one of them.

There are those who argue for the perfect shot with no exceptions, but I am not one of those. I hope some of the rest of you will enjoy the shot as much as me.

Nice work. I certainly don't expect you to be able to use studio techniques when outdoors capturing natural subjects. Being able to show their true markings and color thru adjustment is fine with me. Keep up the good work.

Oh, I thought you were talking bird vs flower photography purists, not PS. Nice combination and that is Photoshops main mission - to clean up a photo. Good job.

Boz, PP has a huge place in modern photography as it always has.
That's a very nice shot and you made it better. We just need to keep it in perspective and have integrity.
Your shot has been change from a nature/wildlife shot to a pictorial. As long as you are ethical and always disclose that and the viewer knows that, what you did helped make it a better presentation.
On some subjects we need to be a strict purist and on others it's all about PP.
Nothing wrong with that and both have their place. No need for an apology, as long as you disclose. Nice capture! ;-)

Not too shabby!
Excellent use of PP to do a bit of digital housekeeping.

I do not think anyone should argue your use of post processing. It did not change the picture just enhanced certain areas of it. Nicely done!!

To me a purist is someone who can't do this stuff. To overcome their short comings they attach a title to themselves and expect us to accept them. Well good luck with that. Run with it. You did the right thing, David and no need to apologize. It turned out beautifully.
