Here's an image from our exploration of Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch.

Mid-afternoon. That's one of the pluses for slot canyons: you don't have to get there at the crack of dawn, or stay 'til dark. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon are the times.
The direct sunlight hits one reddish or yellowish wall and bounces around creating the soft diffuse golden-reddish light.

It is an awesome place to photograph. If you go take the photographer tour. Make reservations in advance.
