Here's another one of this beautiful beach. My only reservation about this shot is not having an "anchor" on the right - there was a small amount of headland but unfortunately this got "lost" when I levelled the photo. Note to self - make sure the camera is level!!!

Many thanks for looking and I'm really pleased you like it. The lens is a Canon 16-35 f2.8 at 17mm, ISO 100 and 1/13th of a second. Lens was mounted on a Canon 5D III. I know you didn't ask for the extra details but just thought you may be interested.

thank you, yes. I have the 7DM2 and the first L lens I got is the new 100-400 L II. However, like you, I live on the coast and my next purchase is going to be a wide angle. This is one I was considering. thank you. I like all your photographs, but find this one outstanding.

If you have the 7DM2 then you'll need the Canon 10-22 (or equivalent) for a similar perspective.

Yes and now they just announced the 11-24 but it's an f4. But it would be in the ball park and I am planning to get a FF before the year is out. So many decisions, so few $$$'s. ;)

If you're after a landscape lens then I wouldn't be put off just because the 11-24 is f4. If on the other hand you're going to get yourself a full-frame camera then the 16-35 f2.8 is a fabulous lens.

You can use content-aware fill when leveling photos to that you never lose any pixels Luggerbugs. I use it quite often.
