What brand teleconverter do I use with a Nikon camera and a Sigma lens?

That depends entirely on the lens. Some are compatible with TC's and some are not. There is even a risk of destroying a lens while trying to use it on a TC so you have to know specific lens compatibility.

This is a loaded question. I shoot Canon so really can't help you but to give you an idea of what I mean when I say it's loaded. I have used Sigma TC's, Canon TC's, Tamron and Kenko TC's, all on Sigma lenses with Canon cameras. It all depends on the particular lens.

Give your camera model and the lens you are using and MT may be able to help you.

If you have a Prime lens 300mm or longer, I would try and use Sigma TC's. If you have prime lens shorter than 300mm , or Zoom lens, I would use Tamron TC's - preferably SP versions OR Kenko Pro.

I have a Kenko Pro that I use with my Nikor 70 - 300mm lens.

I had heard that some Nikon lenses would not fit with the Nikon TC, but all mine did with my Tamron TC. So did my Sigma 200-400. The difference is that the Nikon TC "sticks out". If it works, the quality will be better, but. . .
It really depends on the lens and TC combination.

The Nikon TC's, or at least the new ones will not allow your in camera AF to work. The only lenses that "work" are AFS lenses. Shutter, ap and other stull will work but if it is not an AFS you will have to focus manually. Plus Nikon TC's are way to rich for my blood. The Kenko and Tam work well and and are not priced out of reach. Just sayin
