I got one but it was in the black and white negatives that went in the 93 flood. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Not sure how I got it--I was pretty sauced at the time.
There is this remote mountain formation here in Colorado called the Maroon Bells. Pretty sure that has never been photographed before. Oh yeah, there is also this church outside of Taos called the San Francisco de Asis Mission Church that has never been photographed either.

I have been a reader here for some 6 months and have enjoyed looking at all the photos. This has caused a question in my mind. Short of booking a seat on the next space capsule flight, is there anything that has not been photographed before?
A peanut. Crack it out of its shell, photograph it and eat it up. Guaranteed it has never been photographed before and never will be again.

Very good point, Sonny. It is easy to surmise that since we've been to a particular spot, and taken a photo, there's no reason to ever go back there again.
Go back on another day. Take some more photos. You'll be glad you did. It isn't about whether it's ever been photographed. It's about whether you have taken one you love.

On another day it will be a different shot.

The entire universe! A photograph is an interpretation of a subject as perceived by a single individual at a specific point in time. With this in mind, 'nothing has been photographed' with your perception at your time. There will always be infinite possibilities for photographs of infinite subjects.
The hidden question: How does one take a photograph of a much-photographed subject which differs from all the others of it?
This question has a simple answer, in two parts: First, find an interesting point-of-view and compose it well, keeping in mind the Rule of Thirds (a guide to image composition).
Second, get a good exposure in the camera.
A third part may go without saying, yet seems worthwhile to say: A given photographer at a given moment with a given skill level and adequate gear, while bringing his or her experience to bear, will necessarily capture a photograph that differs from others.
This outcome happens in large part because our human perception becomes involved, and applies a uniqueness to a photographic effort.
Following one's gut feeling in relation to given scene and its photogenic qualities will also ensure a photograph that looks different from all others.

The wife & I go on a local picture safari, stand side by side at the same time, take the exact same picture, you'd think we were years & miles apart. When you really start seeing, you'll have your answer.
