Looking at this lens (sigma 30mm e mount lens) online, I see that there are two versions...one designated ART, and one without this designation. Does anyone know the difference? Are both equally suited for the a6000? Is the lens fully compatible with all the features of the a6000...auto focus, exposure, etc..

At BH Photo if you query "Sigma 30 mm lens e mount" there will only be 1 choice in two finishes to fit the a6000. However if you query "Sigma 30 mm lens for Sony" there will be two choices- one lens for Sony DSLR and one for the e mount. The 30mm for the a6000 is 199.00 vs 400.00+. Also the one to fit the a6000 is designated DN which is part of the Sigma Art lenses.

I had wondered about that also, but when the lens arrived, the box had the label: Sigma 30mm F2.8 DN Art. I would not worry about ordering this lens from either B&H, Adorama or Amazon. I ordered from Amazon because their supply center is in Phoenix, just up the road and I got a very quick delivery. Once I tested the lens, I was sold.

For some reason, the ART designation was left off the description on the Amazon on-line catalog but the box confirms it.

It will definitely work on the A6000 and you will be glad you purchased it.
