A little too quick to judge? the helicopter pilot from that trip was on CNN this morning and said they were taking fire. Williams chopper was hit, but not downed. The RPG was aimed at the helicopter in front of them. If you are not used to combat, the "fog of war" can do strange things to memory. However, apparently, not a lie.

A little quick to judge?, there is another pilot who has come out and said that he was William's Pilot that night and that the only event that night was a sandstorm, that they were not even apart of the group that was fired upon. I think that the pilot you refer to is probably a plant.... we will see will we not... But now we have to question his story about New Orleans and the dead body of a man floating past his hotel face down.... It just so happens that the part of New Orleans his hotel was in never flooded, he has reported other stories of his time in the Big Easy just after Katrina that now seem to be all lies.

this is the trouble with America. The Libs blame the Conservatives and vice versa. no one want to have a civil conversation about the facts anymore. Williams lied. He was forced to admit it after service men (who he praised at Madison Sq. Garden told him to tell the truth or they would out him. He never said he lied. He admitted to making a mistake.

Seems a common ploy that too many famous people forget the truth and uses stories to aggrandize their name or position.

Frankly I'm tired of seeing such incidents (lying by politicians and media) and them getting off easy. Some were mentioned previously like Hillary. Another was Kerry and Swift-boat. Another was the Atty Gen of CT, now Senator Blumenthal, who lied about his Viet Nam service and he was still elected.

Lying is a SERIOUS character flaw and one should think long and hard about supporting anyone who has been caught in a whopper. I would/could never vote for Hillary knowing she lied again (as she did in White Water scandal. I feel no sympathy for B. Williams knowing he lied over and over again about taking fire in the helo or about the bodies floating by him in New Orleans during Katrina. Where he was it was not flooded. He got caught at that too and the press hardly reported that. AMAZING how this country is going down hill and how few people care and how willing everyone is to come to the aid of liars and scoundrels. Good example: BJ Clinton!

Let's get off making every issue partisan and start revering the truth and the facts!

this is the trouble with America. The Libs blame ... (show quote)

You'll never quit hearing lies where politicians are concerned. They lie and tell voters want they know voters want to hear. Voters take them for their word, which is ridiculous, but the voters want someone to believed in. Once the politician gets elected, the interests of the voters are pushed aside in favor of those who paid for their election.

The real heroes are those who did what they did and don't brag about it; i.e., Medal of Honor recipients. It's only those who have never really experienced combat who seem to think it's something special to be involved in or around. Those who have experienced it, don't want to relive those experiences, so they don't talk about. Frankly, I could care less about what Brian Williams did or didn't do; it takes my mind away from things I should really be concerned about.

The chopper that got hit was a hour ahead of the one Williams was on.

The pilot of the chopper he was on said it got hit. Not by RPG but by ground fire. I am reasonably sure more than one bird gets hit each day. I would trust the pilot. They have had my life in their hands before and they stay calmer than most others on the bird.

That pilot has retracted his story, the real pilot has come out and said they were not even in the area.

Another Brian Williams story has come into question. He claims to have rescued a puppy from a house fire as a teenager....only now it has become two puppies. Witnesses to the event are being sought even as we speak..ummm...chat.

Truth of the matter is that he was seen shooting at those puppies with a bb gun.
