I thought that was what I remembered, it has been many years since I walked The Pantiles, assuming they are still there?

The Pantiles is the main Tourist Attraction in TW. A row of shops, restaurants and farm produce stalls.
Just to stir your memory, the three phone pictures show the 40's day at the Pantiles.

How kind of you to send that, were you there, it looks like it was fun! My brother travels all over the SE, he has his own mechanical business and he repairs just about anything anywhere. We skype about once a week, what a wonderful invention that is. He tells us about the changes everywhere. After 30 years it is hard to imagine Gravesend but I think some of my old haunts and watering holes are still there.
Football seems to be getting some action now. We do get it on TV here, the Premier League games.
