Hello all.
I had this problem before and was kindly given the name of a program that had a free down load.
I suddenly got a program that is supposed to clean up my computer, I don't want it and it won't go away. I cannot uninstall.
So if some-one can give me the name of something that will clean this up I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Wendy

If you can be more specific we may be able to help.
- What program won't uninstall and what have you tried?

You're trying to uninstall Reg Pro Cleaner using Reg Pro Cleaner?

That is a vague answer, this requires you going into your
computer registry and removing all mentions of it, better
left to someone who knows what they are doing.
Are you sure you went to "Program and Features" in your control panel and tried to uninstall it?

Before the program can be uninstalled, it has to be stopped in Task Manager or disabled in MSconfig and the computer rebooted.

The difficulty is identifying the program name.

If you can find the .exe file, go to task manager and search for it in Applications, Services and processes. Click "End task" on each and every instance. Then goto to Control Panel > Programs & Features and deal with the uninstall process.

After uninstall, reboot, then in the Start Menu > Search Programs and files type Msconfig.

In the new dialog, search all panels for the exe file name. If found, disable it.

Now get a decent antimalware program and run it frequently.

One more time, go to control panel, go to the "programs and features", go to the program, right click on it and hit uninstall.

From your replies we'll assume you are running Windows.
- the link is for Windows 7, as you did not specify, but its similar on each

Hi Wendy, I did not recognise your avatar.

Tunbridge Wells is where I hail from.

I referred to a malware cleaner, the most powerful one is Adwcleaner: http://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/
but should only be used if Malwarebytes does not clean the machine.
