on you, Ellie! I have been saying this for many years now, as have a great many others. It's like the "my car is better than your car" arguments, though. It's an unwinnable debate.
I remember the Afghan Girl photo. Her eyes absolutely captivated me. So did the shot of the 9-year-old girl running from napalm in Vietnam. Those are the shots of lifetimes, and it really doesn't matter whether they were shot with Hasselblads or Kodak Brownies - the eye and mind and soul of the photographer are what made them poignant and living far beyond any of us.
