I've followed you, Citation, since the beginning of 'City Landscapes" - hoping your first photo would be explained and, incidentally, seen some gorgeous photos by others as well.
My recall of the old city of Quebec City is that there is a huge old hotel above it with a surround at the edge of black wrought iron. ??????

Some 'city' scapes from my archives

Valuable additions to my thread, MB. When I think of the most quaint cities in the world, I go back to Rothenburg. Your shot of NYC is unique and awesome. While Paris was once the cultural center of the universe, that distinction now belongs to NYC. My favorite dance tune is NY, NY. I saw ageless Tony Bennett sing it last night on TV--a Central Park rerun.

I was born in NY many, many years ago and have a love for that city...my dream is to spend at least 4 days just wandering around with my camera taking people and building shots...someday!

One of my favorite places too. Isn't it fun to see how many different shots can be taken of one little spot?! Loved yours!

Old Quebec City is beautiful, would go back in a heartbeat. I believe what you are referring to is the Chateau Fontinac (? spelling).

ha...well I got the travel bug when I was 17 and took my first trip to Jamaica then......you dont know how much I wish I could show some of my older stuff from the days of film..but alas..there is just so much time in the day and scanning old stuff is not as much fun as taking new stuff...not to mention that Im much better at it now...might scare me to see some of that old stuff.
You make pittsburgh look quite lovely

Pittsburgh is awesome! It has a bad rep from the steel days. Whenever we travel, and mention we are from Pittsburgh, you should see the looks and hear the responses we get. Mostly about it being an ugly, dirty city. No matter where we are, bar or restaurant ect., someone in the crowd speaks up and says, "I've been to Pittsburgh, it's a beautiful city." If yunz haven't been there, you don't know.

Here are a few of mine

Thank you citation. Yes Rom.8.28 is one of my favorites as well especially in the "Message". Yes the night shots are tough but thanks to the digital age and the LCD instant feedback it is much easier to get what I want.

San Diego is one of my favorite cities. I have stayed at the RV park at the Naval base and once stayed in a resort hotel on Coronado. These photos bring back some great memories. At first I did not realize your one photo was a reflection. All of the colors are wonderful. Night shots can be so challenging. For me it's mostly a guessing game.

Thank you so much. I was hoping someone would include her. When I returned from a military assignment in Germany many years ago, I can't tell you how much it meant to see her.

Nice "scape" Nan. I like the dimensions with the real show in the back ground.

Welcome ALL to this thread. If you are proud of the city landscape near you, please shoot it and post it. I'm not looking for just buildings per se, but rather I would like to see wide angle city shots that reveal a variety of architectural or engineering excellence. Of course bridges and rivers are great add-ons, but not all cities have them. Please be sure to add a caption over your photos to let us know where they were taken. I live in a small town, but I'll kick it off with some shots I have taken in cities I have visited.

The series of photos below was taken of Seattle area from across Lake Washington from a golf course in Newcastle Wa. It shows lake, bridges, downtown Seattle and Bellevue. This is a series of 124 images processed in HDR to 40 sets and Stitched together to make the five panels. It was a real challenge!
Swede

I must say Swede you were definitely up for the challenge what a wonderful set of images. Could you explain in a little detail you workflow for doing this and the software you used. Maybe in a private msg unless other are interested.
