This man is casting for bait. It takes a lot of practice to get this good. The net is fully open before it hits the water.

I can remember my dad casting his net to catch some shrimp. My job was to smash the clams with a hammer that he used for bait. I was maybe 5 years old. I can also remember my uncle making nets with a wooden shuttle.
