I never buy refurbished. It says new when purchasing.

You miss out on saving a lot of money by not buying refurbished!
Just because something is new doesn't mean it can't have problems.
A refurbished item has been gone over and checked out and any problems taken care of. If bought from a reputable company.

I also use Cameta Camera. They back up the refurbished items with a one year store warranty. Their prices are always competitive also. Yes, this is a plug for them and I am only a customer ... no other connection to them.

Was checking into a Nikon 7100 and discovered this: New from Amazon with a 18-140 Zoom lens is priced at $1296.95. I jumped over to Nikon's website to check prices on a refurb 7100 and with the same lens it was priced at $1799.95. One of the problems I have always found with camera equipment has always been the wide and varible price range. Can't help but feel sympathy for someone buying their first camera. Let the Buyer Beware is so true with everything.

This a a bundle sale of the lens and camera. The lens is discounted if you buy the bundle. The price of the camera body is $999.95 and the lens is $486.95.

Maybe they would. My experience is that Amazon operates with the same degree of integrity as B&H and Adorama. They sell grey-market too, but they tell you.

I have seen lenses on Amazon that were clearly labeled Gray Market. I do not believe they would sell a gray market item without labeling it as such.

From the huge amount of money I spent on Amazon, I have always looked to see if the item is "Sold by Amazon." With that label you have no problems and they will ship you a replacement item the same day you notify them and will not bill your credit card if you return the unwanted item in a timely manner.

I bought an item for my grandson from Amazon but it was from a third parrty. When the item arrived it was the wrong item. I called and spoke with a person from amazon and was told to go through the third party but if I still had a problem to let them know. Well they did not help me so I called again to amazon and they refunded my money and I never heard from the third party. I buy a lot of things from Amazon and this was the first problem but they took care of it. I would call Amazon and ask about the Camera and then you will know.

Amazon's price is most likely for a greymarket lens.

Amazon says not grey market.

Try your local Costco. I think I saw it with a $300 rebate offer, and two lenses.
