Yellowstone Seminar June 2015

NEWSFLASH!

I just got a call from a snowcoach operator in West Yellowstone, MT that had a cancellation on a charter snowcoach in Yellowstone Park on December 29 and 30.
If anyone sees this and may be interested in going, rooms are readily available for under $90 a night and the coach can hold up to 10 people. A charter coach is by far the best way to go as they will stop whenever you need them to as opposed to standard coach schedules that only make specific stops. The more people, the cheaper per person cost would be. The coach is $1300 per day.
Feel free to contact me directly or even by phone today, if there is enough interest I will reserve the coach and lead the tour myself. This is a rare opportunity!

I have a request from one of the UHH attendees at my June 2014 seminar for a return experience in June of 2015.
I would be willing to sponsor another Spring Wildlife and Landscape Seminar if there was enough early interest. I usually don't schedule my Yellowstone seminars until February but room reservations have been increasingly hard to secure the last couple of years.
I will make the decision depending on the number of responses I receive over the next couple weeks. The seminar would be scheduled for the week after Memorial Day weekend and will be 4 days, 3 nights in Yellowstone starting on Sunday and ending on Wednesday that week and based out of Mammoth Hot Springs in the park. I can schedule the seminar with rooms included in the price package or rooms paid for separately by the attendees.
Here are the results posted by members of the last two UHH seminars I organized in September 2013 and June 2014:

Due to circumstances beyond my control I am unable to sponsor a seminar in 2015.
Xanterra, the vendor who controls all room reservations in Yellowstone changed their reservation policy the first of this year and I was unaware of that change until today. Room reservation blocks are now available for a full year in advance and all accomodations in the Park are full this June except for the newly remodeled rooms at Lake Hotel, and those rooms run $385 per night plus taxes. This comes to well over $1200 for the three nights of my seminars and that is just not financially feasible in my opinion. I usually sponsor these seminars out of Mammoth for the best central location but rooms there are fully booked until May 2016 as of now.
The pressure of the loss of over 300 cabins at Canyon has driven up the cost of accomodations in the park until the new condos are completed in 2017.
I apologize to everyone wanting to attend my June 2015 seminar but without rooms available the only other option would be a camping seminar, and that would require hard sided campers as the weather is awfully cold for sleeping in tents at that time. I would consider the possibility if there was enough interest, camping can be had for around $35 per night.
Again I apologize for the inconvenience.

I can't do the whole thing, but there is a strong chance I'll be in the Park, at least passing through, in that time frame. I would sure enjoy meeting up so would like to be kept posted also, but no, I cannot commit to the whole thing.

Odds are very good that I will be there anyway, in my camper and towing the Jeep.

I really appreciate your efforts, on trying to bring this to fruition. I had my sights set on it the reports of 2014 trip were outstanding and the camaraderie that seems to have developed is wonderful. I have access to a cabin in Driggs Idaho, and come to the area at least six times a year so if you decide to do anything it would be great if you could drop me a line. Again thank you so much for your efforts.

I will try and get a hold of you when I am that way, or even when I know when I will be that way. I'd enjoy meeting. I don't have my own dates set in stone yet, but know I was looking at early June.
