I can't find any other E-P2 users. I have concluded I am adrift in the photographic cosmos, orphaned, destined to wonder what is an E-PL2 what is an EP-L2, and similar close-but-no-cigar camera users. I'm hoping to locate other users of the E-P2 so that I can rediscover the joy of using this camera and learn a few things from others' experiences.

I'm with Clint, I can only offer my m4/3 experience. As to what is an E-PL2 or an EP-L2 - it appears to be exceedingly difficult for folks to remember where to put the dash: E-PL2 is the correct name.
The full name of my camera is OM-D E-M1. OM-D is the series, E-M1 the model. Or surname and given name if you like. I've seen it as E-M1, EM1, EM-1 and even E-M-1. Ditto for the E-M5 and E-M10 cameras in the OM-D family.
As long as you use the name correctly, folks will know what you're talking about, even if they themselves write it the wrong way.

I have an EPL-5 which replaced my EPL-1, they are broadly very similar in shape and size.
The EPL-5 is 16mp, has a tilt screen and the LCD is 3" although you cannot use the whole screen because of the info bands at each side.
The EPL-1 is 12mp, has a fixed screen and the LCD is 2.7" but the whole screen can be used for viewing.
The batteries are compatible in both models.

There's more m43 users here than there were a year ago but we are still quite the minority here. I have an EM5 and an EM1 but never have used the EP series. You might want to check out the m43 forum on DPReview, there's a much larger group there, specific to our type of camera, and it's a very active forum. I depend on DPR for technical info, and UHH more for general photography conversation and image sharing.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, Morningstar. Unfortunately, my camera is not an E-PL2 nor an EP L2. It hasn't got an L at all. That's my point. I have an Olympus E-P2.
Could be it's almost the same or maybe the person posting is so used to seeing the L referred to by other camera users that they think there is an L in their camera model number, too. I don't know. However, mine doesn't have it and I'm reading the model name directly off the camera.
I bought this camera a few years back, maybe in 2009 or 2010 mainly for its manual features. I grew up on a Minolta 35mm SRT-101, with a built in analog light meter. Most of my failed shots are due to back light problems that I don't remember having with the old Minolta. I guess the way digital cameras handle light is very different from film cameras. Also, it seems this digital camera is more sensitive to shake than the old film SLR. Anyway, thanks for sharing and I'll probably follow folks whose comments are down my alley.

Minniev, thanks for the tip to DPR. I've seen some incredible photos here and don't consider myself in the same league as some of the great photographers whose work is shared here. Maybe I do need to spend more time on the DPR site until I can figure out what I'm doing.

I misread your inital post, Dave, and apologize. Part of the reason for misreading is the fact that I wasn't aware of the existence of and E-P2, no doubt.
In any case, I looked it up on the Olympus website, and found the manual

That looks like an interesting camera: no viewfinder, but still interchangeable lenses. Oh, just saw that an electronic viewfinder is optional - I imagine that's attached to the hotshoe.
Just glancing through the manual: There's a mighty lot of power in such a small package.
I really hope you do find others with the same camera, or maybe at least a PEN series camera to exchange info and ideas!

In any case, I've learned a lot reading the DPReview site thanks to the nudge from minniev. I'm content with the E-P2 until I see a camera that uses the micro 4/3 lenses and has a sensor that is bigger than the 17x13mm one. Seems like all the "advances" have to do with wireless, bluetooth, more frames per second, etc., none of which are a big enough change over the last five years I've owned the camera to justify getting a new one. Thanks everyone for taking the time to share...it's been helpful.

My first reaction was "Kodak's gone, must be an old(er) camera" - then I saw the m4/3 designation.
I'm curious enough to go looking. That's a very handsome camera! Now I'm even more curious and I will find the manual later this afternoon, gotta do a couple of other things first!
