hi everyone
why am I getting a green flashing arrow before I get the green
focus dot on my Nikon d7000. Can anyone please help.

First check to ensure the lens and camera "switches" are set to auto and not M.

That tells you the camera is seeking focus lock if you have the shutter half-pressed.

The green arrow indicates which way to adjust for focus -
When you have a steady green dot, you're locked in :)
