Want to attach a manfrotto plate and a black rapid strap

I would like to attach my monopod to my camera with the manfrotto quick release plate but I would also like to be able to use my black rapid r4 strap too. I thought there was a plate for the camera 1/4 20 tripod socket allowing allowing 2 1/4 20 threads allowing the use of the plate and strap. I thought there were adapters like this but now I can't find it? Does this exist?

I use a plate like this that will connect to the camera's tripod socket and allow a QR plate to be connected to the knurled knob, and allow a BR carabiner to connect to the plate at the eye hole.

Also, doesn't BR make a QR plate with a special fastenR connector?

Yes, it's their M plate for only $70.

Or do like I do. Leave the QR plate on the bottom of the camera and attach the BR strap to one of the camera strap lugs on the side.

Why didn't I think of that. Thanks excellent idea. The black rapid clip doesn't fit through easily so I added a split keyring to go between the camera lug and the R4 connector.

Me too, I just don't like the idea of the tripod hole holding the weight of the entire camera, that is what the lugs are for.

I don't know of this adapter is available; Word of warning!!! I used the wire loop on the manfrotto quick release plate to clip my Black Rapid strap. Heavy lens and Canon 1DX was too much weight and the wire loop that looks heavy spread and I dropped the camera and lens in the street. Now I use the machined adapter that comes with the strap!!

I use this system. Black rapid connected to Joby Ultra Plate. This gives me 2 tripod holes. 1 goes on the quick connector for my tripod and 1 for the black rapid. Works amazingly well.
