Callaway Gardens is a 13,000 acres resort complex located in Pine Mountain, Georgia, just outside of Columbus, Georgia. The resort draws over 750,000 visitors annually.

Callaway Gardens was founded in 1952 by Cason J. and Virginia Hand Callaway to promote and protect native azalea species. His son, Bo Callaway, helped develop and run the garden. Another son, Ely Callaway, founded and owns Callaway Golf.

This Chapel was built in 1961 in memoriam to Mrs. Ida Cason Callaway.

How did you get the shot with no people milling about. Always a crowd when I go there?

Go during the week. And yes I waited on two groups that came in. I was in no hurry. Azaleas at peak the next two weeks. Will be posting. Shot a ton at the Butterfly Center this week. They will be coming up.
