I got this in trade and already have it so don't need two. This is an incredible lens and I have priced it lower than any out there. It's in excellent condition and includes, front & rear caps, hood, and box. Really nice lens for the money!!!

Nikon sells this lens as a refurb at $299.00 and sometimes gives an additional 10% off.

Look around used and this is the cheapest it's going for and most are $350-$400. I have bought many refurbs discounted before too but this is not refurbished.

I would buy a Factory ReFurb before a used lens any day of the week. Especially if it was less money !

Me too, so buy a refurb if you want as I have no problem doing so! I have priced this lower than what used ones are going for and it's as simple as that. Some people will not buy refurbs.

Adorama, B&H, Nikon. The manufacturer is a good place to start. A refurb lens from Nikon or Canon is like buying brand new. Any lens that is factory refurbed is a good safe buy !!!!

So should I price shop them on the refurb I see you have to be careful with the exact specs on the lenses there is a lot to it

I would do that first before I started to look for new lenses. I don't have a problem with buying new lenses but why spend the extra money when you don't have to. There is one problem with refurbs. however. They seldom carry the same guarantee as new lenses do. I have never had a problem with any of my refurbs so warranty time is moot to me. It might be something you are concerned with however.
