True, but he may surprise us yet.
Wish he would run for president. He's not afraid of anyone and is more
intelligent than 99% of the jerks in DC.
I just got a message from our MT Senator saying he is cosponsoring a bill for term limits. That will probably never happen but I admire him for trying.
Talk is cheap, no matter how well done. Before I decide the net worth of a politician, I google "(their name) Islam". I learned long ago not to judge a politician or anyone else on their verbal skills alone.

I haven't heard anything bad about Trey.

He is doing what he is best at but if Benghazi does not get the lying treasonous muslim out of the oval office, I think Trey Gowdy is wasting his talent. I don't want to see how much more damage Obama can do. Could speculate on his real reasons for wanting to serve, but the jury is still out. Consider the fact that Gowdy nominated Boehner for speaker, two years ago, and received a high profile committee assignment.

Political wheeling and dealing. The only way to stop it is term limits. :hunf:
If you don't have more "educated" voters, I don't think term limits will change much in Washington. Having more educated voters is more important than term limits and could elininate the need for term limits if constitutionlist/counter jihad voters were organized in a way that gets like minded candidates nominated in primaries and elected in general elections. What if they go there partly to get another retirement pension,"feather their nest"(i.e., mostly look out for "no. 1") while there, and also while there, groom themselves for a much higher paying job after they leave than they had before they arrived? I am not opposed to term limits, but believe there is a right way and wrong way to do it, just as we are doing a lot of things in Washington the wrong way now. As in murphy's law... if term limits can go wrong, it will go wrong. Also why should the speaker of the house be able to be seen as a "king"?

Yeah I am afraid that you are probably right but I would sure like to see the state pull together and get it done. :(
I think that if senators were appointed by the state houses, the states would have an easier job of keeping the federal government ( more dangerous than a man eating tiger) in compliance with the U.S. Constitution (its cage).

oBummer should be hand cuffed and removed from office and charged with impersonating an American President.
Term limits are good but they must be properly constructed. South Dakota enacted term limits for consecutive terms. The result was senators and representatives swapping offices. To be effective, the term limits must be for terms in the entire legislative branch not just the house or senate.
