The top of the bag features a carrying handle that can be used in the absence of the shoulder straps. There is also a travel flap, which necessitates the use of the carrying handle that can zip around the shoulder and waist straps for travel. This flap makes it easier to stow the bag in an overhead compartment, or it can protect the shoulder strap from the baggage handlers.The padded shoulder straps are comfortable and fit well thanks in part to the adjustable sternum strap.
There a separate compartment that's slotted to accept pens, pencils, and a camera manual or small notebook. The thick padding offers good protection for the delicate contents. Removable slot allow you to configure the interior to your own taste.
