My name is David, and you can just call me Assuredd. I'm from Arkansas, and I live in the world's largest gated retirement community: Hot Springs Village Arkansas.

I am not a professional photographer. Even so, photography has been an important part of my entire life. I started at the age of 18, when I joined the Army. It did not take me long to start developing my own film and processing my own pictures.

For me, I thank God every day for digital photography. During the last few years of my life, I have been working part-time. My work calls for plenty of pictures. Some busy days, I may shoot 800 or 900 photographs.

These days, I have been very happy using Canon Power Shot cameras. A year ago I started using the Power Shot SX 510 HS.

I have other cameras, and I keep them handy all the time. I enjoy taking photographs of the family and creating digital albums. I love taking photographs and posting them on Facebook.

I think that I have a pretty good eye for framing. I would love to learn more about creating albums, and digitally editing them. I seem to have difficulty using my editing software. I am about ready to break down and buy the famous digital processing software called: Photoshop.

Greetings to all of you, and I hope that I have something to share just as much as I hope to learn.

Hi David ( Assuredd) ... Welcome to UHH. You don't look so "old" to me. :) To make really great albums, photo books, etc., do some research at www.shutterfly.com. For post-processing, editing, etc., check out" Adobe Elements."
Elements is a light version of Adobe Photoshop, but works very well for most needs. Hope this is some help.
Good luck, Jack.

No, we can keep it our secret. All that really matters is we both have our hand in the game and are eager to learn more. I don't think old is something that defines either of us. ;)
