D7000 Question

I may feel like an idiot for asking this, but what the heck, I'm used to it.
When I take a photo and look at the screen result, a number appears just below the image on the right side. Currently, the last photo taken has the number 109-155. So far I haven't figured out what the number signifies. Suggestions?

The number advances as I shoot. Its not ISO or speed, its a counter but not sure why or of what. I've taken olmost 10,000 shots with this camera so its not that of course.

the number you see on the lower right side after a pic is taken is the
resolution of your photo. When you set your size of photo to smal, med, or large. it will show up on the lower right side of your screen when you take a photo, or review the photo.

Hope this helps

After re-reading your post.
when you take a photo, it will count the shot.
your photos are counted from 101 being the first shot.
all of your shots counhted will show up as IE: 101-105 and so on
The number 101 is the very first number of your pic file on the camera and also the d7000mfolder number. the number after the 101-xxx i the number of the photo.
But that is on the upper right of the screen. On my d7000 any way.

Got it. The second set of numbers is the number of shots on the card. It resets when the card is formatted.

Thanks for the help hobbycam.

See! I knew I'd feel like an idiot.

The FIRST number is the Folder/File number. The SECOND number is the number of the picture taken within the folder/file.
