"Old Red Barn" was taken last week with an old GE X5 that my wife found in a drawer, corroded and forgotten. With a little cleanup--it works.

"End of Harvest" was shot in December with my Canon SL1--the last of my corn crop being shelled.

Great subject matter John, combined with sharp quality images. In my book, a winner.
When I was a kid (in the 50's) I never would have dreamed of operating something like this.

If one lives in my part of Indiana, it's not easy to find a machine that isn't painted green--green has a corner on the market here. When I farmed myself, I used Allis-Chalmers tractors (still have a D-17) and a Massy combine.

It is the same here. Green dominates here to and almost everywhere. I have a friend that works as a mechanic and has told me in the last several years that the quality from the mechanical aspect has dropped of on the green. I had an Allis Chalmers WD45 used for small task. Rented 7060one time when I ripped the rear end out of the 5020 Deere. my favorite was a Massey Ferguson 1150 what a horse!!

Very nice Midwest farm photos! I wish I'd thought of taking photos of some of the equipment and farming processes back when I was young -- especially fields of shocked oats, etc.

They are both very good shots, John! It's fun to try out very old cameras, isn't it? :)
