If you place any photos on Facebook, they have unlimited use of your photos. Not a good way to go.
Agree. FB will use your photos at no cost to advance its moneymaking business model. Avoid this avenue.

Somebody, somewhere will be selling their photos. So, do the work and don't give up the dream. Good luck.

Hi, I am exploring a possible way to sell my photos. I think that many of my photos are of a high and interesting quality. I am thinking of posting a pdf. page on FB, with maybe 10-20 photos. My thought is to ask my friends on FB to share my posting with their friends and for their friends to re-share the posting. I feel this has the potential to reach many people and maybe facilitate sales. How about some feedback.
Talk with friends, see if there are pets or kids to take semi formal photos of in a park. Look for local opportunities with real people locally and get good experience. Perhaps a new business might want a good photo or employee photos. Use your imagination in other areas locally besides the internet.

Smugmug, Zenfolio, and Fine Art America are much better options for selling than FB. You have no way of protecting your images using FB and FB owns them once you've posted them. Then it's pretty much up to you to drive traffic to them. That's where FB could come in handy. Good luck.

========================
Watermark ALL of your work displayed on ANY on-line site.
Do Not display on-line to ANY site ANYTHING over that of 200 meg.
State that You do NOT use the "watermark" on ANY of your work PRINTED, but you will sign IF the consumer wishes it to be signed.
IF people are interested in what you have in the way of photographic art - then will make contact. Also Self Promotion is the key... If you do not take notice of yourself, and just keep wishing to sell your work = you will not go anywhere. YOU must take Action. I have a web-site, I also make contacts with the use of Facebook - and I have found a few clients on FB as well.
Go now.... Make good art and let the Light be with you.
James..
Highly recommend the website Zenfolio...have been using it for many years now.
