Nice shots, and like you I am getting used to using the Tamron 150-600mm lens. I have three tri-pods and so far it did not work well on the Manfrotto. Your clarity and DOF on the Anna HB was really good.

Welcome to the forum John. I see you're almost a neighbor.

Thanks for your input about your tripod experience. That was a brand I was considering. Do you have one that seems to work that you can recommend?

Sorry I did not get back sooner busy with home things. The tripod I found that will work is a Sunpak 7000 ultra. It will support about 12 pounds. I went and looked at one at Best Buy for $91.00 and it is well built.
I don't want to spend big bucks as I already have three other tripods.
It can be obtained from 69 to the 91 dollars per different places.
