Amazing detailed landscaping and scenery - please post some more.

I have an item in my to do list to build an N scale layout

Thanks for the great comment and the 3 thumbs up. I will post more photos a little later. Start that N scale and have fun. On my earlier post I mentioned the great Reed Bros. N scale layout. One of the best I've ever seen. :) :) :)

A first attempt shooting my HO layout with a Canon 6D.

Aperture: Canon f22, Tamron f32 at ISO 3200.
Lighting was florescent and incandescent mixed.
All photos taken in raw files, converted, retouched and cropped.

WOW, that is beautiful. My previous next door neighbor had his entire basement as his set-up and that was with "O" gauge.

Dick, that is beautiful work on both the layout and the photography. I was into HO with my son years ago & thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly, no room now. Your Apache canyon reminded me of the classical Gore & Dephetid of yesteryear.

Thanks for that great comment Werewolf. I went with HO gauge because it's half the cost.... Not true but should be.

I love HO gauge. It's not too small not to have great detail and a majority of automotive models are in 1/43 or even 1/82 which are great for dioramas with the trains.

Yes, they are usually on the 1st weekend of the month, but this month it is on the 10th & 11th. I went to another show at the Lake Co fairgrounds in Grayslake, IL last weekend. Not quite as big as Wheaton, but lots of fun. I'm going to Wheaton to buy a couple of Lionel items I saw at Grayslake but couldn't afford till my pension checks came in. Maybe I'll see you there.
I wish. My sister lives in Lisle. Maybe I can use her as an excuse. Lol.

Well, thank you Michael. I don't know about the artist bit. I got a lot of information from old Model RR programs on PBS-11, here in the Chicago area. They were great. Everything from layouts to building them. I taped some of them and plan to put them on DVDs.
Thanks for the 2 thumbs up.

Thanks for the kind comments woody. Sorry about you not having the room. That's one of the problems with that hobby. Mine is in a 16 by 20 ft. back building. Depth is the big problem photographing miniatures.
