Oh this is great! When I got to the second photo I thought it was a real farm lol. I cannot show this to my husband - he would be green with envy.

So cool!

Two expensive hobbies :)

True, Dngallagher, very expensive . The cost was over a 15 year period though and I was working then. Thanks for looking and the nice comment.

Very impressive... Need some video!

You're welcome to take some if your in the area. A regular video camera is a must as you need to pause a lot. My Sony is too old, and uses tapes.
Thanks for looking.

Great looking layout...from the photo's, looks like the real thing!

Thanks cjkorb. I got a lot of ideas from the Model train shows on the old PBS channel 11 station years ago. Lots of valuable information there.

A very long time ago I had a book with plans for getting the most HO track on a 4x8 sheet of plywood. It included an optional hinged panel for a switch yard. I got the basic board together as a project with my "kid" brother. It moved to several houses and I enjoyed some use with my son. I ended up selling it at a garage sale. One day I may do it again.

PLEASE more photos, and an video if you can.

I'm guessing that you have a theme based on the 1920s. Is that right?

Thanks bsprague. If you look at the second pic. on my sign board the date is from 1940 t0 55. I have to be careful what I use so to keep the years straight. The gas pumps at the Mobil station are probably from the 20s but I did see them used down south in the 60s.
Videos are out but I will post more shots later.

"Regular" video cameras now are digital and record to SD cards. They don't pause anymore. They Start and Stop taking individual "clips". The clips are then "glued" together in software to make a "video".

Your EOS 60D is a fine video camera. It has everything it takes to shoot top quality video.

In exchange for some video clips, I'll help get the 60D working as a video camera!

Thanks Ruthie. We love the farm scene and I remember the outhouse. Show the hubby,... it's only money. :) :) :)

There is a pickup truck in the third shot. It's age suggests the scene may be of a relatively poor small farm.

That's a 1934 pickup. In 1940 that pickup would be 6 years old.

And, 6 years later, I was born. There were probably plenty of them around and I was not yet ready to notice!
