OK..
I read the thread where it says send your best photo, (as in ONE only.) BUT I have a problem there. (wink)
I am a photography student (older) that is QUITE new to digital, (experienced in film,) and Adobe STUPID.
So I have to give three as they relate to my education.
The first is my initial attempt at Photo Shop. (Using the same image as my ID one.) The second one is my initial attempt at studio photography using lighting. And the final one is the first "close up" that I did with my (then new) Canon 70D camera and "package" zoom lens with close up feature...
OK.. br I read the thread where it says send your ... (show quote)

All very beautiful, keep up the good work.

Difficult choice, yes?
Here's one I took, and enlarged, for class. Definitely one of my favorites.

Okay, the year is fast coming to a close. We did a thread like this last year as well with great success, many outstanding and fun photos.

Post what you think is either your 'best' shot of 2014, or if not your best, your favorite shot, either way.

Doesn't need to be an award winner or a jaw-dropper, just the shot you like best from your work this past year.

Difficult choice, yes?

Here's mine--Eisenheim the Magnificent--taken not with the 'good' camera, but with a cell phone.

Wow! I was surprised by how difficult the choice was. Ironically, after a year that saw me in Arizona, Europe, Charleston, New England, and other places that yield great images, I chose an image I took less than 5 miles from my home. And for someone who counts himself a landscape/garden photographer, I can't account for the fact that my "shot of the year" is a portrait. Go figure!

Great discussion, btw.

Thank you, I got lucky, I thought it looked like the jet was going to fly past the moon, so I grabbed my camera quickly, guessed at the settings, ran out in a field to try to line up and took just 1 picture. Whole thing was over in 2-3 minutes.

That's how it happens lots of times, some of your best shots are spur of the moment. If you miss it, you probably will never get the chance again.
