This is one of my favorites. On top of Mt Evans Colorado. Grampa teaching grandson how maneuver on the rocks!

Okay, the year is fast coming to a close. We did a thread like this last year as well with great success, many outstanding and fun photos.
Post what you think is either your 'best' shot of 2014, or if not your best, your favorite shot, either way.
Doesn't need to be an award winner or a jaw-dropper, just the shot you like best from your work this past year.
Difficult choice, yes?
Here's mine--Eisenheim the Magnificent--taken not with the 'good' camera, but with a cell phone.

I had a lot to think about Treepusher, but I chose this one, since I don't get to see many eagles up close,
I think that the best one of the thoughts of the past year is Out with the old and in with the new.
This was an old miners cabin that over the past ten years or so I have watched fall down annd if you look in the back ground you can see it is sitting right beside a new building so in with the new and out with the old.

The great sunset IS a great sunset. Love the frame and matting. They really enhance the photo.

Clear; the viewer can see the eye; great composition; and, wonderful lighting. In all, a beautiful photo of the eagle.

Ansel Adams often said, "before and after a storm", meaning that the light and environmental can be very inviting for the moody landscapes he was known for.
Seascapes qualify too. This is a long exposure of storm surf at sunset in Cape Charles, Virginia. I think the tide was in as well. Not my best work of 2014 but a favorite.

I love it! Makes it look as if you were struggling to keep up with the high flyer. (Maybe you were, huh?)
Thanks Ransch, I sure was, I was shaking so much just from the thrill of seeing it.

I really enjoyed this one taken on the 10th of October this year.
I think some of the best photo's are taken with cell phones. Great job!
