Happy Hollidays and Seasons Greetings to all....

eliminates the controversy

Some Christians that I know, think that "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" is the way all non-Christians would like to see it done.

I personally don't care, unless someone tells me "we do Happy Holidays around here, not Merry Christmas, as we do not want to offend any one religion."

You must have your head securely up your rear end or you agree with the post about how jews are taking advantage of christians. This is a shameful and disgusting statement and you sir are a part of the problem.

Well, it all began as "Xmas" versus "Christmas." Is that the issue to which you now refer to, as disgusting? Or is it something else?

Stay focused on the subject Silver and quit joining those who wish to change it. This is about Xmas versus Christmas.

You are hallucinating Bookman. However you spell it, it is an intrusive, intimidating, dangerous, depressing, conjested madhouse of a retail promotion for the vast majority of Americans. It is now forced upon and consumes 15.06849315% (55 days. Halloween to Xmas) or more of our lives. For Hallmark and other card makers it is like drunks in a bar. You bought me one so I should buy you one. It is the most fiscally irresponsible time of the year, as intimidated buyers load up credit cards beyond reasonable bounds as they succumb to the Jewish retailers who know well how to grease a Christian. They are the real winners in this hoax of a religious holiday. Happy December 26 to you Bookman. On that day I will celebrate with you. Free at last, free at last, free at last!

Merry Christmas to you too. I'm a Christian, and I hope you are not, because you sir are an embarrassment to all Christians of good will.

You're suggesting when someone says something that is intolerable we shouldn't comment on it? I'm sorry, like silver, I cannot ignore hate rhetoric. I am not Jewish, but have many Jewish friends and I find his statement unacceptable.

I am unaware that anyone knows where another goes when he/she dies, other than back to stardust. Please fill me with your wisdom as to how you know.

Isn't what you say, just what you believe? And, how can one embarrass a religion?

Thank you, Dave. And to you, Merry Christmas, Xmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Winter Solstice, and whatever other momentous occasions are celebrated at this time of year!

I was alluding to Hell as you well know. It was hyperbole to make a point. You'll note before I saw this post I had edited mine to be a bit less angry. But my overall reaction remains the same. In terms of embarrassment, I believe that any person who indicates he or she is a member of a religion can, through their actions, bring embarrassment to others.

I wish all to speak out on anything and everything, and to question everything. And I believe hate is a scourge of mankind. But to allow another to lure you into a discussion, when it has nothing to do with the initial discussion, indicates they can easily provoke you and can pull your strings.

But having said that, I am also guilty, at times, of doing the same thing. Sometimes it is fun to provoke and get a rise out of another. God forgive me.

I know plenty of 'Christian' retailers who know how to grease a fellow 'Christian'..But you are correct. However, whose fault is it, really? OURS. Those of us who succumb to it. So it is what it is and will be until the day comes that we wake up and understand it's a pagan holiday made holy by the Catholic Church, who had no idea when the god man was born. Happy, Happy 12/26!!

I am sorry but this guy croce made a truly racist and hideous statement about how jews are ripping off christians and this is totally unacceptable. I am not changing the subject I am just remarking about how insensitive one of the posters here truly is. If you really cared about your fellow man you would also respond to croce,s remark and say how truly disgusting it really is. This is a shameful occurrence and I for one cannot just stand by when somebody chooses to use racist and hideous accusations against any segment of the population. You should also be outraged with this issue.
