Julie Gidwitz was the photographer. I just posted the link. Check out her blog she may have that info in there. If you scroll up a little in this post you can see where I listed her equipment. I presume she used her telephoto (400mm) which would place her at a distance away where she wouldn't disturb the birds. Just my guess. :-D
