2. OK so this is your experiance and opinion. Others vary from yours.
3. Did you mistake this for a dog forum?

as a family we have been involved in dogs many years.Have trained many breeds to work as service dogs also herding stock dogs for cattle.
WE now have three pit bulls in our family. Our son Bill has used the breed to catch razor back hogs in years past.
He now had Floyd 3 yrs old that is in Mexican over drive by nature but a lover at heart.
Our daughter cindy has a 4 month old pup named ben.HE has the PB temperament "I love every everbody wraped in a 20lb. pup.
Marion and I co own BO a 70 lb.PB @ lover who was a vagabond in Sarasota Fl .Taken off the streets by our neighbor ranch owners husband. No relation but all have the same temperament of the PB,lover boys.Of course we have Daisema my wifes spade bitch that rules the roost. My involvement with dogs is many yrs and trained dogs to work at many jobs. The PIT BULL in my estimation far surpasses many breeds for the stable temperament.

I live in the Rio Grande Valley, seven miles from the Mexican border. We just had a big thing about this. According to police records 100% of dog attacks has been by pit bulls. This year we had a three year old attacked in her own yard by the neighbors p.b. It ripped her face off. Another attacked it's 85 year old owner put her down on the ground and tore her throat out. Pit bulls have been banned in our county and if you own one you will be cited for harboring a dangerous animal.

Pit Bulls are banned in Ontario too.

Of all the posts I've ever read here, this is without a doubt the most mis-placed. This is a PHOTOGRAPHY forum, in case you haven't noticed. It's akin to me posting three paragraphs about my problems with moles chewing up my yard. I wouldn't expect anyone cares about my mole problem, and I can't imagine why you'd go on about your affinity for a certain breed of dog in a photography forum.

“Stable” my A**! Why is it, then, that in nearly every report of someone being mauled or having their face ripped off, that it’s a Pit Bull that did it? And when it’s not a Pit Bull, it’s a Rottweiler. Never hear of a pack of wild Pomeranians attacking someone and killing them.

And tell me, again, what this has to do with photography?

I raised Pitbulls for years and have found them to be great loving and loyal friends. In the years I have only had one that was the least bit aggressive toward people ( he did not like my father in law).
Your are much more likely to be bitten by a poodle or other small dog. Petey in the Our Gang films was a Pitbull !!!
Hate seeing a great people dog get a bad rap over a few bad apples.

Gee, with all that dog experience you must know that the correct term is spayed....not spade.

Even if photos were supposed to be included this isn't the photo forum.
That's where everybody posts pictures of their dogs, grandkids, and what they had for dinner.

And if you're not really careful you could end up with a Pitbull eating your grandkid for its dinner.
It's happened too often for my liking here in the UK.

My son has had pit bulls for many years. Every one has been an affectionate, loyal family dog. They all love children and are other people friendly. One is cat aggressive so no cats in the house. The secret is to choose a puppy or shelter dog that has a laid back affectionate personality. The same characteristics prized in most dog breeds. Contrary to popular myths fighting pit bulls are not people aggressive. They are trained to be dog aggressive. They shouldn't be around other dogs. Some need to be put down because they were so psychologically damaged by their training and fighting experiences that they can't function in a normal environment any more. They are terrified of everyone and everything around them.

I don't dislike any breed; just several that I don't trust. It isn't so much an issue of the breed but of the training the dog is given (or not given). An untrained dog is like a loaded weapon.........

Great dogs! I personally think that any human that wants to do away with any animal should also be placed on the euthanasia list. Before long our major problems will be eliminated.
I've had Pits and Rotties and they were all lovers. Of course they must be trained and not left in the yard on a chain to fend for themselves. Maybe we should chain a few of these well knowledged humans to a post for a while and see how they turn out! Dogs are like your children, if not raised and trained for the world they will not coexist the way they should.

Most of the PBs I have seen have been owned by a particular type of person. Yes - any dog might bite - but most dog's don't have jaws like a lion, and I've never heard of anyone being eaten alive by next door's ginger tomcat.
