Suggestions for portable small screen (roughly 7 inches) to connect via HDMI Canon 1DX. I have trouble determining focus and general picture quality from small built-in screen. I hope I can find a small screen, battery powered with external battery pack with an input compatible with the 1DX HDMI MINI output. I'd appreciate suggestions.

Thanks Speters! I will do that. I was hoping that someone was doing that already and could share their experience.

You might look into a CamRanger. It requires an iPad type device but is very good for remote focus.

I couldn't find the phrase "shit loads" in the dictionary. Please provide a qualifying definition.

I was shocked that the 1DX flag ship Canon camera was not WIFI !!!
Canon has the option of buying the WFT-E6A wireless transmitter, but at a steep $599 retail in the US. AT the time of this writing, the WFT-E7A was coming out at $849″.
Other options like the Eye-Fi card are only available in SD cards, not CF cards as in what the 1Dx uses. After a Google search for other alternatives, I really found nothing, with the exception of the WFT-E6A adapter

Be sure to check out the link before plunking down the cash. There are many 7-10" pads for less $100 that may do. A 7" gives you roughly 4X viewing. Don't the settings show in your eyeview? also If needed you can get a sun shield for your LED for less than $20 on Ebay.

Thanks dpullum. That was certainly educational and may fit into my plans in the future. The settings do show. Sometimes my focus and/or exposure is a little off and I don't realize it until I see them on a larger screen.
Thanks KennyMac! That is precisely what I want.
