Excellent! Thanks for the comment.
Are you kidding? Its a beautiful painting. Art isnt about what things are. Artists leave the knowing to our imagination

Thanks Matthewsback. I'll see if I can get the photographer's email address and send him your comment.
Thanks for your participation in this small debate.
It is in all probability an enlarged black and white digital photo;at least its overall appearance suggests that. within the context of the other left-right works; it could be a painting done in oil or acrylic. The left side piece seems more of a "what is it" art work than the one you address in the center. when downloaded and zoomed into it is obvious the imagery is a reflection of plantlife growing in water. All Hog Members would do well to accept this artwork on its own terms rather than dismiss its abstraction from nature as an unsuccessful attempt at creativity.

I don't know what to say. You are, of course, correct. I have encountered this response from a few Hogs who dismiss this kind of stuff out of hand as "unworthy" of acceptance and think people engaged in "modern" art are nuts, infantile, and even worse.
But like a very prominent photographer friend of mine once said, "There is room for all."
Thanks for your participation and insight in this area of discourse. Really appreciated.
Your photo has a painterly effect. Really like it!

Your photo speaks volumes. :-D Well done.
I should add that this looks like it could be a photo reference for a Norman Rockwell painting.
