There was close to 30,000 aquatic birds close to the road today and so many photo opportunities. This one was my favorite.

Wow .. tack sharp, RedArrow! And it's a great fun image too. I really like how the three are set apart from the one. I know you had no control over that, but it's great compositionally speaking. Perfectly exposed and great colour.

I just watched a Sandhill Crane video on youtube not too long ago. Apparenlty a goose egg had ended up with some Crane eggs and this goose thought he was a crane and the cranes accepted him as one of their own .. in fact he seem to be somewhat of a dominant, pack leader type. LOL It was pretty funny to see this goose as the head honcho of a group of those tall cranes. So .. yes .. birds not of a feather, do flock together. I also frequently see geese with swans.

Thanks for looking and kind comment. Geese are bullies and I understand how it would take over. Young creatures bond at a early age to the first image their eyes see and a mother loves its young and excepts them no matter how cute or ugly but I bet she had concerns about that short leg young chick with that loud honk. I bet none of the flock dares tell it that it is not a Sandhill Crane. Do you think that Ibis on the end is trying to tell the Ibis with the Spoonbills it is not a Spoonbill.

Lovely crystal clear image. Crisp and sharp with every feather distinct. Interesting composition. A winner!

I like this photograph!

Tack sharp, but there does seems to be some blow out of the white areas.

I am going to use Uuglypher technique for evaluating it.

Impact: 5
Technique: 4.5

Love the crop. The download is one of the sharpest I've seen.

Thanks ray, Handheld with VRII switched on and I wished I had set the tripod out for a couple shots.
