Last night I was looking at the January issue of Shutterbug. There are several advertisers for backdrops, floor drops and more. You could also stop by a flooring store, and see if they have some rough ends of carpet, or flooring.

Stupid word games! So you didn't like the title of the thread. Neither did I. We have all been moaning and groaning about that for quite a while. BUT the OP did give a good explanation of her needs, which you, as usual, chose to ignore. Instead you answered with a completely senseless comment about her ability, about which, I'm sure, you know nothing. Now Admin has gotten rid of JR1 (Kourtesy Kop), you show up as a ghost of horrors past (JR1/2, The Title Torquemada, the Subject Sheriff).

Ron, you're smart enough that, if you put your brain in forward gear, you could be a valuable asset to this forum, but you choose to be the Titular Troll. Give us all a break, please. Help us make this a better forum. Thank you!

I do a lot of newborn photography. For the most part, I get it right on camera. But every so often, I want to change out the background, and was wondering if anyone knows of a place a I can get blankets or walls or floors as background images to edit in.

I found some places that sell furniture as digital props, but none that I like the blanket images, of have a good selection of walls or other looks people tend to like in infant shoots.

I normally take an image in the beginning I like, for editing in later if needed. But I had a bad day on a recent shoot, good photos but a lot of backgrounds are a bit gross, and can't find anything I like.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you have graphics program your best approach would be to carry a plain-uniform-color cloth (black or white preferable) and use as background. Then at home erase it (easy to select without hurting the main image) and superimpose it on any background of your choice from photos that you have or will take for the purpose.

As to my participation I am active. I am rarely creating any new threads of late because I have lost the taste for it.

UHH is a learning site. The first thing to learn is UHH policies and features.

I am so glad to see that you are such an ardent advocate of compliance with the Forum rules. We wouldn't want anyone to think that you are a hypocrite:

Check Sam's Club. They have some really nice throws, soft and a variety of colors. They range from 20.00 to 50.00.

You will be amazed at the blankets, quilts, rugs, etc. that you can find at your local Goodwill store (do Deseret stores still exist?); wash or dry clean thoroughly (if dry cleaning, tell the cleaner that the item will be used by an infant so they can avoid certain chemicals).

One thing you are right on, I need to delete the blog entry as I am not updating it.
Done.

I am curious about the sudden hostility thought.

That still leaves FOUR lines! As to a reason for hostility, you are rude!

If you think it's funny, then you thought about it. I couldn't ask for more than your awareness that there just might be some validity to the statement. Now let's agree that both of us can inadvertently cross the line and get back to photography.

And titles that makes sense not the generic stupidity displayed when this happens.

I usually make a single comment that ranges from a song to non sense. I expand ONLY when asked.

As to my 'funny' there was no reflection on my part, only a reaction of laughter at your perceived 'rudeness'. I have a think skin.

OK. Another topic hijacked for boorish reasons.

May I suggest that, in the future, a gentle PM to the OP explaining how to better word a title might be more productive?

Same goes for poorly worded original posts. Like when they ask about a lens but don’t mention what camera body or budget limitations etc..

It lets them know, gives them a chance to change the title and/or question and does not distract from the issue at hand.

I admit to some of this same behavior in the past. I plan on modifying that behavior in the future.

Just thought I'd re-post the original OP's question, since this thread has been so hijacked, and become meaningless.
