OK 2 different camera's same shot same location on tripod. Shot in raw and auto processed with Photoshop CS5. Other than a variation of color, I don't see the difference between the 2 camera's. Am I missing something here. I am sending the pics and info download.
I did notice the same lens on different camera was different in AV, and speed. That may be due to the digic processor, 50D full frame and T5i smaller?

Local photo shop modified the speed of the processor (over clocking) and tweaked the A/F sensor. Or at least that's what I paid for.

The local photo shop "saw you coming."

Not really apples to apples-
1st shot = at 7:20am, 2nd shot = 9:23am
1st Exposure Time: 1/100, 2nd Exposure Time: 1/50
1st F Number: f / 4.50, F Number: f / 5.60
1st White Balance: Auto white balance, 2nd White Balance: Manual white balance

And the second shot was an hour later. Sun's moved quite a bit in that time - lighting flowers differently and changing shadows.

The t5i has better detail and depth but the focus is soft in both. That is probably a user thing.

Of the two cameras, I also like the 50D shot better. It's color is better and the picture is sharper.

The 5D has more contrast and is a bit sharper. if you look at the other one its a bit to bright. They are both good pictures nothing that a bit of photoshop can correct

I agree with the point of the sharpness provided by the 50D

Using the two cameras; which one feels faster, smoother and easier/quicker to control?

50D is a tougher built camera (metal body), has additional ports and connections, etc. Pentaprism viewfinder vs pentamirror. 1/8000 shutter speed vs 1/4000, partially weather sealed, faster fps, and on and on.

The t5i is going to do a little better in low light conditions (better high ISO performance), it's a new generation camera than the 50d. It just depends on what is important to you, and which feels better while you're shooting it.

True, but I wonder how usable the 25600 really is. H2 on the 50D goes to 12800; photos are not very clear at that speed. I think that is why H1 (6400) and H2 are turned off by default in the 50D.

It depends - If you're shooting RAW, and using a good raw workflow software, you can push pretty far. I haven't personally used a T5i, but I had a T3i and could go to 6400 shooting raw and was satisfied with the results. I imagine the T5i is a bit better.

Anything beyond that and it's just nice to have it to get a shot that you otherwise wouldn't have been able to capture anything.

I'm just getting started in working with RAW files, I'll have to check it out to see how far I can push it. Thanks :)

If they were both shot RAW the white balance does not matter. However, the difference in ISO, Shutter Speed, and F Stop will change the color, focus, and depth of field.
